Siphon Draw Pictures available on .Mac

A couple of years back I traveled over to Arizona to see my mate Joe and hang out for a week at his place. Joe and his family are one of the nicest groups of people I have ever met and I had a great time chilling out at the bars with Joe and back home with Joe and the girls.

During the week I decided to get outside and do some hiking. I'd never really done any hiking but I wasn't about to admit that to anyone and so when Joe suggested an easy but impressive hike up Siphon Draw I was convinced that I could do it.

The first attempt was terrible. I was wearing incredibly impractical shoes that fell apart after about 2 miles of treking and managed to almost kill myself sliding into a ravine. It was time to get myself properly equiped.

When I hit the mountain again for the second attempt I was all sorted in my new hiking boots and a selection of water bottles lent to me by Joe. This time I got to the top and these photos chronicle some of the amazing views I got of the desert valley from the top of Siphon Draw.

This is one hike I want to do again!
