UnderstandingUML Launches

UML, that's modeling right? Boring, dull, waste of time... if that's the way you view UML then UnderstandingUML might just change your mind (once I get some content up on it). Launched in anger today, UnderstandingUML is a community site where the main aim is to show how useful UML can be in a set of situations.

Rather than talk about the notation itself, UnderstandingUML is all about why people model in the first place. When is modeling useful, what does it help with, what techniques or tools work best? UnderstandingUML aims to improve UML's image by talking about the why and the how, rather than just what UML is.
