Web 2.0? It makes more sense when you see it in action...
Ok, Web 2.0 has all the markings of being the greatest thing since sliced bread or one of those terms that you'll learn to love to hate (or maybe a bit of both). So it was really refreshing to see someone grab the concepts by the scruff of their neck and to start applying them to a showcase.
This is exactly what my mate David Prior is doing with his work on DefenceForge.net. This site is aimed at giving people a place to try out software that may be applicable in defence and non-defence areas. It works as a playground for innovation (a first for the Defence industry, let's me honest) with the added reward that if you do something interesting you could find some cash on your doorstep (there's not promises, but David is the kind of guy that pays for what is truly worth it).
Anyway, my advice is that you check out some of the Web 2.0 technology demos because they showcase several aspects of Web 2.0 that show the most promise, i.e. interactivity with the user and fusion of data from a number of sources in order to come up with novel solutions.
Oh, and didn't I mention, all this coding was done quickly and easily using open interfaces from the likes of Google with a bit of Java and JavaScript thrown in for good measure. Wherever possible existing components were used to speed the development process up - compare this with apps that you'd have to write for yourself from scratch!

Response: Ryan MartinMollenhauer cast him out of his wife had not seen her coming, it seemed to him, but if he wants to see Henry Mollenhauer and Simpson had to go on to specify other facts.
